Re: Twitter, responsibilty and accountabilty

Twitter seems to be elevating itself to the arbiter of public opinion but they are not there yet. It's a useful communication tool for journalists no doubt, but it's not like the bulk of people make up their opinions there. The Overton window is still defined by old media and the people who own them.


The more important question to me is about the individuals that are hired as censors and make these decisions. Ultimately it would be good for people to know why they make these decisions, whether it would be good to have disclosures abuot their role, and indeed why they should exist at all.
